EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA--EDMONTON RADIAL RAILWAY TROLLEYS--RARE 1978 HISTORY!

Here is a 39 year-old issue of "Headlights" published by the Electric Railroaders Association, where the feature articles are on the trolley lines of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Entitled "EDMONTON: A CASE FOR LIGHT RAIL", here is a history on Edmontons traction. In 1951, car No. 1 of the Edmonton Transit System pulled into the depot for the last time. The citys last streetcar line passed into history, but in 1978, the old Cromwell depot returned as a rail facility. A light rail line opened on April 23, 1978 and here is a bunch of details, history and photographs on that line written right after it opened!  A second feature article is entitled "THE EDMONTON RADIAL RAILWAY" and is a lot of rare history on this line which opened in 1908. Lots of photos too! The majority of this issue is on Edmonton! VERY HARD TO FIND! ON THE FRONT COVER: a set of LRVs arriving at Central Station on a trip to Belvedere in 1978.
