Product Description

I believe Paul Rivera started the Rivera Research and Development Co. in the upstairs of Valley Arts Guitars in 1975 or 1976. This amplifier is from that era. Paul was gutting and rebuilding (some refer to these changes as mods) Fender deluxes and princetons. This amp runs off of KT-77s and a 12 inch speaker and has a notch eq boost. The EQ frequency is determined by a rotary switch on the front panel. There are also 2 pull boosts, which as I understand, are adding tube gain stages. There is also an added master volume.
Lastly, there is no documentation included, but I was told this amp was made for Peter Frampton and I bought it from the man who bought it from Peter here in Nashville. Though it describes the origin of the amp quite well, it is here-say, so do what you will with that information.
These amps are unbelievably rare. To my knowledge, there is only one market precedent for value which is from over 10 years ago when Steve Lukather sold his model from the same time period. It auctioned off for over $2800 (i saw this price in a forum before the auction concluded). The end sale price is unknown.
I do not need to sell this amp and consider it an important piece of history...but Ive listed several things for sale that are also important to me...Whatever sells will fund a project Im pursuing, the other pieces will likely go back in my collection.
