Caliper Rebuild & Refurbishment Service

We can provide you with 2 menu choices of caliper refurbishment service to suit your needs, for any type of caliper. 

Just send us your calipers, (making sure you include a note with your instructions, address and phone number).  Turnaround takes about two days from receiving your calipers for Rebuild, or a week if you require the full Refurbishment with recoating.

Disassemble, examine piston condition, solvent bath clean.  

Check and clean pins and springs, reassemble and refit. 

Your calipers will be mechanically ‘good as new’, giving long term peace of mind.

(Price includes new pressure seals, dust seals, caliper half seals, spring retaining screws (if applic), bleed nipples and dust caps. 

Pistons are rarely required unless requested by the customer, but are available).

Small Print:

P&P, combined postage costs & insured/recorded delivery.  We will do our utmost to ensure that your item reaches you intact and on time.  We will always combine postage (one of our pet hates is postage rip-off on Ebay!) – if you want to buy more than one item by all means ask for a quote for combined P&P, or you can just trust us to refund you the savings, in cash, in your combined package.  We will make sure it’s fair as a matter of principle. 

Depending on the size and complexity of the item for packing, we will charge between nothing and a few pence for the hassle of wrestling with the package, but will only charge packing materials at cost (jiffy bags aren’t free but we buy them cheap and make no profit on them as packaging). 

Carriage insurance: on Royal Mail 1st and 2nd class post, recorded delivery is available at 70p – it will be an option on the sale so you choose.  Similarly, if it’s Parcel Post, there are options for insurance.  This is your choice, so if you don’t take it, it’s not our fault if something goes wrong in transit.  (We address clearly and package robustly, but the risk is still yours I’m afraid unless you choose insured post).  On valuable items (over £50), insurance will be included in the postage cost.

Overseas or Highlinds and Islands Bidders.  Please only bid if you can pay by Paypal and are prepared for significantly higher shipping costs – ask for a shipping price first.

Refunds.  Yes, we will – as long as we think the buyer is being genuine.  If you buy something by mistake, that’s not our error so you’ll have to cover the postage costs for us both and once we receive the item back in good condition we will refund the purchase price less eBay charges and 10% restocking fee.  If you think we’ve described something wrongly and are disappointed with what you get, we will refund your costs in full!
